2 Sweet Treat Holders

I think I have a serious case of Fridayitis!! I am so anxious for the weekend to be here. There is a ton to get done but on Sunday it will all be worth it when we finally leave for our vacation! One week of pure relaxation in South Padre. We have a beautiful condo to stay in....we are going to spend all of our time on the beaches and at the pool. We are also gonna hit Schlitterbahn, take in a firework show, eat some yummy food at restaurants you can only go to in Padre, see a movie or 2, take boat rides, oh my....I could go on and on.... It will be FUN!
Ok...on to stamping stuff which is why you came here! :) I found this idea on the Stampin' Up! website. Aren't these cute!? They are quite simple. I taught the girls at my Stamp Club how to make these...they loved 'em! We filled ours with m&m's but the possibilities of what to put in them are endless! They are perfect little treat holders...I have thought of so many things to do with them already...now I just need a few more hours in the day to do them all! ;)
Have a fantastic Friday! chat at ya later!

Summery Tree

Happy 4th of July weekend! Shawners and I kicked off our long weekend last night with an impromptu date! We went to Maggianos for dinner {that place is sooo yummy!!} and then decided to go to see The Proposal. It was a super funny movie...loved it!! :) We are planning on lots of relaxing this weekend. We are just BBQ'in, swimming, watching firework shows and playing games...maybe we will do another movie too!
This is a card I did at my Stamp Club meeting last month to show off some of the new In Colors. I am soooo excited this stamp set made it into the new catalog...it is one of my favorites! I left a sentiment off for now, it is in my card stash until I need it for something!
Hope you all have a super fun and very safe weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

2-4-6-8...

...who do we appreciate?...actually what do we appreciate? The new Stampin' Up! catalog!!! I am so excited to put in my order tomorrow of the things I just can't live without, which seems to be a hefty amount! :)
I made these 2-4-6-8 boxes for my Stamp Club girls. I wanted to give them a little something with their new catty. I used my new circle circus set. I love this set!!!! I filled the box with post-it's and a pen to mark up their new catalogs and some chocolates to munch on while they browse! I made them to kinda match the colors on the catalog cover! I think they turned out cute if I do say so myself!! :)
Have a fantastic day! chat at ya later!

Circle Circus

Yeah for me! I finally found some mojo to create a card with my circle circus set that has been sitting on my stamp table feeling extremely neglected for over a week now! This cute set will be available for purchase on July 1st when the New Stampin' Up! catalog takes effect. I am loving these colors...they are so summery!! Also this card was pretty simple. I just stamped the images on a piece of white paper and used my various circle punches to punch them out! It was fun to play around with where to put them...I did that for a little bit to make sure they were just right!
Ok...on a non stamping note...I went to see Transformers 2 yesterday! It was great! I do have one complaint...there was alot of words that could have been left out and there were way too many half dressed girls. Being a mom of young boys, I was disappointed that there was so much of that in there. I don't think the movie would have been any less without all that stuff! The actual Transfomers stuff was awesome though! :)

In Color Butterflies

It's 12:30am and for the 2nd night in a row I am wide awake and can't sleep! So might as well do some blogging! :) When I finally got my preorder of new catty goodies...it was about an hour before my stamp club meeting was going to start! Of course it was over a week late, so I open it up and they didn't send my stamp set I ordered! ugh! So I very quickly threw this card together just to be able to show the girls something! I know not my best. Please don't look at all the mistakes! Still it's something to share...something is always better than nothing...right?
Ok...I am going back upstairs and am going to attempt this thing you people call sleep ...yet again! We have a big exciting day tomorrow to go see Transformers 2 and I know my little guy is going to be waking me up early and wanting to get to the theater asap!! Hope you have a good evening or day...or whatever time of day you are seeing this!

Shawners "new wallet"

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there! I thought while I had a few quick minutes I would share the card I made for Shawners. I gave him a "new wallet". We always joke that he has a "George Costanza" wallet!! It seems to get full after a while and he knows it's finally time to clean it out when he is sitting and it makes one cheek sore! ;) {hmmm I dunno, was that too much info?}
Have a great evening!

A Father's Day Tie

We just got home from Kailee and Austin's swim meet! They both did so good! It's been really fun to watch them and see them compete with themselves to beat their times and to see how much they have improved from last year! :) So now that we are home and before I have to get to the rest of my "to-do" list I wanted to post this other Father's Day card I made. I actually made a couple of these. It is a easy card but super cute I think!!
I used the Boys Will Be Boys set again. {from Taylored Expressions} I saw a card that Laurie did a while ago with this image and I wanted to case it. I have no idea what the dsp is...I just know it was one of those "had to have" from Hobby Lobby. {I have waaayyyy to many of those}
Time to go and get started checking off my list!

Par-fect

I know?...right? You can pick your jaw up from your keyboards...you are seeing this correctly! I have posted another card the day after my last post....NOT a week later! I told ya I had a whole mess of cards I made yesterday! Actually I was in such a hurry that as I was finishing cards I was putting them right into the envelopes and sealing them up. When I was done it occurred to me that I hadn't photographed any of them...so what's a girl to do? Yep...you guessed it...I opened them all, took the pictures, and then put them in new envelopes! :) I know some of you out there will understand!!
Like so many guys out there...to say my brother loves to golf is a major understatement! He SUPER LOVES it! This was another reason this stamp set was a must have for me! I stamped the image in black staz-on ink. I applied the 2 way glue and used olive glitter to make "the green". I added a white brad for the ball. I also used crystal effects on the flag. I like the way this turned out...also my brother's cute little girls will probably love the glittery card! Thanks to Aunt Tara they will be glitterfied! {I know I was for two days while I made the card and every time I touched it! At one point I went to look in the mirror and I looked like a 12 yr old trying to look cool by wearing glitter all over my face!}
Anyway....Have a fantasticly fantabulous Friday!!!

The Grill Master

I have been working furiously to finish a whole mess of Father's Day cards I wanted to send off to some of the dads in my family. I finished them at the very last minute of course...I ran them to the post office today right at 5:00pm just in time for them to be sent. Now hopefully they get there on time!!!
This one is a card I made for my brother. We don't live close to each other for me to know first hand (only once a year or so when we visit him) but I have heard that he is a "grill master" so when I saw this image in the Boys Will Be Boys set I loved it!! This card was a stretch for me cuz I was trying to match my own colors to this Cosmo Cricket paper instead of being so dependent on all of Stampin' Up!'s color matching stuff. It turned out better than I expected it to. I think he will like it! This grill is so cute though...how could ya not?
Gotta run...time to be taxi driver again...I have been schlepping kids back and forth all over the place this week!! :)
Have a fabulous day...chat at ya later!

A flower pot

These little flower pot cards are all the rage. I have seen them everywhere...and I have seen some really, really cute ones! I made this one to show my Stamp Club girls. A HUGE thank you to Andrea Walford. She made a printable template for the pot. I just printed right onto my cardstock and cut it out...it couldn't have been easier! This was fun...I just took my time playing with the flowers and arranging them, sponging them to add some dimension. I love these flowers...they are all on one die that I ran through my Big Shot. I am telling you if you do not have a Big Shot you really are missing out!!! It's one of the best toys ever! :) {oops I forgot to take a picture of the insert and the sentiment}
Gotta run I have another class to get ready for! Is everyone enjoying their summer so far?? I know we are!! Have a fabulous day! chat at ya later!

Lunch Sack Albums

The books ended up pretty bulky after they were done but that's ok!
I didn't want to put other kids pictures on my blog without parents permission so I just photographed Ty's page.
I used jumbo eyelets to bind the book and put the ribbon through
Only a 1/2 day of school left!! I think I am gonna make it!! Although...this has never happened to me on a school day...I totally overslept this morning...missed my alarm, Shawn even said "wake up i am leaving" and nothing. I woke up at 8:15 which is the time the little boys are supposed to be at school!! aghhhhh! So the boys were late to school...oops. I think mentally I must be already out for the summer!!!
These are the lunch sack albums I made for Ty & Kyler's teachers. There is a picture of each child in the book. Also I went into the classrooms one day and kicked the teachers out so I could ask the kids questions. I put all of their answers on the back pages of each insert. Questions were, "What has she taught you?", "What will you miss about being in her class?" "Funny or silly things you remember from this year?" The answers I got were awesome! :) I think I used 4 sacks for each book. I bought a Simply Scrap Kit for each book {2 Sweet & Hoppy Memories} and just used mostly elements from that to decorate! On the back page of the book is a paper with all the kids signatures on it. These were so fun to do and I think both teachers loved their book!!!
Have a great day!
